Repertoire Performer Data Lead – Music Licensing Business
London, W1F
Up to £31,000 Plus Benefits

Who are PPL?

As one of the leading Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) at the heart of the UK’s music industry, PPL ensures those who invest their time, talent and money to make recorded music are compensated when their music is used in public by businesses or broadcast on TV or radio. We’re now looking for a Repertoire Performer Data Lead to join our team.

Based in Soho, our committed and passionate culture where we place our members and licensee customers at the heart of what we do, will offer a dynamic environment to showcase your skills.

PPL Repertoire and Member Data

The Repertoire and Member Data team continuously review the quality of recordings, rights and performer data in PPL's repertoire database, improving and supplementing it where necessary, through analysis and research.

The team are all extremely passionate about music across a wide range of genres and put their knowledge to use on the repertoire of any artist, including your favourites! They pride themselves on ensuring PPL holds up-to-date repertoire data so that rightsholders and performers – be they international superstars or session musicians just starting out in their careers – receive quick and accurate payments for airplay that their recordings receive.

What you’ll be doing…

As the Repertoire Performer Data Lead, you’ll be responsible for workflow management of various data quality processes aimed at improving performer line-up information (and associated data) on PPL’s repertoire. You will also be responsible for the development and progression of PPL’s performer data quality processes, as well as line-managing 5 Data Quality Co-ordinators.

Reporting directly into the RMD Team Manager, you will work closely with the Repertoire Rights Data Lead, International Repertoire Manager and Classical Repertoire Manager in prioritising and providing repertoire and member data management services so that PPL can maximise revenue generation and pay-through to performers and rightsholders.

What you’ll need…

To be considered, you must have:

- A passion for music
- Experience of working in a data processing environment
- A track record of successfully managing workflow, specifically with data management and/or data quality related BAU and project activities
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, ideally to an advanced level

As the Repertoire Performer Data Lead, you’ll be a confident self-starter who can systematically break apart complex problems. An analytical mindset, proactive approach and great team-working skills are also key.

Ideally, you’ll have line management experience, but this is not essential.

What we can offer you…

Apart from the competitive salary, generous pension scheme, monthly social events and free fruit; we offer a fun and highly spirited working environment with great people. When you come on board at PPL, you can expect to be rewarded for your hard work in many ways, not just financially. Employees are entitled to a wide range of benefits which supports their lifestyles and needs.

What next?

If you feel you have the right skills and are up for the challenge then we would love to hear from you.
