I am currently recruiting for Brokerage Manager to work for Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

The role will require you to do the following:

• To manage the brokerage and placement function for complex and specialist care packages within the prescribed timeframes, budget and quality

• To manage the Contracts and Quality Development Officers to improve outcomes for service users.

• To develop the use of frameworks and other existing placement management structures as appropriate.

• To manage and have oversight of all residential and nursing block contracts, and to act as the strategic relationship manager for these providers

• To maintain oversight of the use of residential and nursing placements, and to identify whether providers are contracting with the council in the most efficient manner

• To provide support, advice and information to care managers, providers, clients and carers and seek innovative and imaginative care solutions for service users with complex and specialist needs

• To drive prevention and early intervention principles to deliver better outcomes and value for money

• To ensure safeguarding is a high priority and ensure all direct reports are aware of their responsibilities in their Department and that issues are recognised and escalated as appropriate

• To develop a planned and systematic process for early identification of service users who would require a specialist brokerage approach

• To work closely with colleagues in Safeguarding, Contracts, Procurement and Commissioning to share information and facilitate provider quality development

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• The ability to work in a collaborative manner with their line Manager, Director, the Heads of Service and their managers to support the development of effective and strategic planning, strategy and delivery for the benefit of citizens and communities

• To perform their tasks and write outputs with a focus on high quality
• Demonstrate the Council’s values and behaviour, providing positive leadership, being responsive, innovative, enterprising and working collaborative and by acting with openness and integrity and by instilling a clear sense of direction, priority and pace

Will be qualified in
• Overall sound educational attainment
• Professional qualification and preferably commissioning development or formal commissioning qualification
