An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and driven property solicitor to join one of the fastest growing public law firms in the UK, based in North West London. This is a temporary role lasting for 4 months in the first instance with the possibility of extension.
My client is a leading public sector firm actively supporting four independent borough councils. They have ambitious plans for growth, with the view for another large borough council to join them within the next 12 months.

The candidate will report directly into the team leader in the property team. Work will consist of dealing with all aspects of legal work and property matters, as well as assist and mentor junior staff where required.
This is a full time temporary role, working Monday - Friday for 36 hours per week. The property solicitor role is paying between £35k - £42k per annum equivalent, PAYE/LTD dependent.
Core duties of the property solicitor role include:

- Advising in relation to complex legal real estate matters
- Advising councillors in public meetings
- Managing a healthy caseload of high profile cases
- Providing oral and written guidance to senior managers and team members
- Drafting and negotiating complex legal documents
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team where necessary
- Meet Lexcel requirements in file management
The ideal candidate for the property solicitor opportunity will have the following:

- A qualified solicitor, barrister, legal executive or qualified overseas lawyer
- Significant experience with the ability to handle matters relating to commercial and residential property
- An excellent oral and written communicator
- Flexibility in terms of working hours
- IT literate with the ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office packages and case management systems
