A Big 4 firm are looking for a qualified auditor to join their Charities and NFP team as an Assistant Manager. Ideally you will have experience working with Charities clients previously and will have between 0 - 2 years post qualified experience.

This is a great opportunity to work with the largest Charities clients in a growing team. There is also the possibility for flexibility on hours where the firm will consider agile ways of working.


Depending on the size of the engagement you will manage clients on your own or work with senior managers, directors and partners to provide a variety of services to our clients. The role includes:

  • Leading and managing the audit team in the field
  • Day to day client contact during field work
  • Ensuring completion of audits/projects within agreed timescales
  • Managing assignments - staff allocation, client time tables, cost recovery and billing
  • Drafting final documents for partner review
  • Participation in not for profit audit special projects engagements
  • Drafting accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and SORPs
  • Development of junior members of field team


To qualify for the role you must have:

  • ACA qualified or local equivalent
  • Charities audit experience
  • Strong academic background
  • Up to date knowledge of current accounting standards
  • Basic understanding of tax issues
  • Up to date on current economic and market trends
  • Able to develop strong client relationships to be seen as a primary point of contact within the firm
  • Able to identify new work opportunities
  • Highly proficient in written and oral communication
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Capable of delegating tasks and responsibilities
  • Positive and ambitious attitude
