Experience with some of the following uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), data centre rack cooling, power management, 3 phase support infrastructure and computer room air conditioners (CRACs) is essential for this role.

This is a perfect opportunity for an Electrical Engineer familiar with data centre infrastructure such as UPS, Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs), racks, cabling and servers who wants to come inside and begin a career in tendering.

The Company

You would be working for a global energy management company who are one of the biggest players in the field of UPS and data centre Electrical Engineering. They have the resources to offer world class training and genuine progression prospects.

The Role

You will be a key individual in the tender process and will be getting involved with the project at the early stages. Together with the team you will be developing and detailing the scope of the project and then ensuring any final quotations are in line with customer requirements.

To achieve this you will spend time with the customer understanding their needs and equipment specifications and then with the support and assistance of yours and the other company department's help formulate final proposals. You will be required to ensure tenders are ready and prepared in line with customer deadlines, so at times you will be under pressure.

Typical Duties

*You'll be tasked with quoting the cost data centre infrastructure
*Assist in preparation of bills of material
*Pre-visits to assess access requirements
*The ability and confidence to work alone on own initiative
*Ensure bids work financially in terms of cash flow, risk and financial analysis

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a passionate and enthusiastic engineer with a background in UPS, data centres or cooling who is looking to move inside.

You will enjoy the support of a team of committed and skilled engineers and in return be ready to help and assist your team mates whenever you can.

You will have good attention to detail, enjoy meeting customers and building relationships with your like-minded colleagues. This role will suit an engineer who is focused on continuous professional development and career progression.

Pay and Benefits

So, what's on offer? As well as the chance to work on brand new projects for the biggest name in energy management, there is a basic salary of £40k and a bonus of 5% to 8%. There is also a fantastic benefits package.
