Are you able to commit to a long-term Speech & Language Teaching Assistant role starting in September?

This exciting role is a yearlong temporary role that could develop into a permanent position. As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with a small number of students within the primary school who struggle with English. This could be due to English not being their first language or some form of SEN requirements such as Global Delay. You will be on hand to provide both academic support but also social and emotional development for the children. You must be passionate and experienced in Speech & Language and able to make a positive impact from day one!

As the successful applicant for this Speech & Language Teaching Assistant role you will be joining a successful, caring and close-knit team. You officially fall under the specialist support team lead by the schools SENCO and Inclusion Manager but you will also work closely and interactive heavily with the teaching staff within the school and even Senior Leadership.

Your role as Speech & Language Teaching Assistant will be varied and require you to think on your feet and use your initiative. You will have expert support but by the very nature of working with children you can expect no two days to be the same.
