This is a community SEN school that offers education for residential as well as day students with high functioning children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Although they still have a number of students with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD). These difficulties may manifest themselves in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be pleased to know that this SEN school they emphasise traditional standards of good manners, socially acceptable behaviour and mutual respect, whilst providing a relevant, varied and interesting education.

Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant
For this SEN Teaching Assistant post, you must be a dedicated graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and experience supporting SEN children. You will be a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who can efficiently deal with any obstacles to learning and inspire pupils with your enthusiasm. You should be able to maintain a caring approach at all times and evidence a desire to contribute in extra-curricular activities.
