Our client is a pan-European private investment firm. They provide both debt and equity solutions to their clients, and are incredibly successful. Well backed and funded, they are led by an outstanding management team who have significant experience of providing financing expertise in global financial markets. Typical deals would include the financing of buy-outs and acquisitions, minority buy-out financing and growth capital.

They are now looking to add an Associate who will work on the origination and execution of investments and deals for the firm.

Day to day, the role will involve the analysis of potential investment opportunities, undertaking both financial and commercial due diligence of deals. This will include detailed financial modelling, valuations and credit analysis, and presenting your recommendations to the Partners. Once the decision to invest has been made, you will work on deal execution - preparing investment documents, assessing the various structuring options, negotiation through to completion.

The successful candidate will have a background including all of the following:

- Mergers and acquisitions professionals currently working at one of the top bulge bracket investment banks or blue chip advisory firms

- Excellent experience of working in mergers and acquisitions in a deal orientated team

- Generalist sector exposure - you will need to have worked with clients across a broad range of industries or sectors - candidates with specialist coverage backgrounds will not be successful

- You will need to have advised private equity clients in the past

- Deal experience should include strong restructuring/ debt or leverage finance work

- Experience of working on deals with a mixture of debt and equity participation is essential

- Highly ranked or graded in your year

- Excellent academic background with a 2,1 or equivalent BA/ BSc degree gained from a Russell Group or equivalent university
