Card Payments Regulatory Compliance Consultant

London/Remote UK (Full/Part time)

£50,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits

TSYS is one of the world's largest companies for outsourced payment services, offering a broad range of issuer and acquirer processing technologies.


We have a requirement for a Compliance Consultant to join our Enterprise Business Compliance team. This role is to protect TSYS business, contribute to the company's compliance status and support clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently as a high level business/technical expert in reviewing documentation from regulatory bodies providing internal and external consulting services.
  • Communicate identified compliance gaps, financial exposure and impacts on clients, make recommendations and communicate plans for change/resolution.
  • Interface with TSYS Clients and internal technical and business stakeholders, providing compliance guidance and support.
  • Represent TSYS at industry meetings and provide feedback and guidance on prioritization.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Must have proficient and thorough knowledge of compliance law and principles.
  • Previous experience of working within a compliance role within Financial Services and Card Industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge/awareness of our own TSYS TS2 payments platform would be highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable degrees include Law/ Business for example). Candidate will ideally have a legal, regulatory or compliance related background.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential and previous experience of working in a client facing role.
  • Working knowledge of European and In-Country legal and regulatory laws relating to payment processing (including EU influence pre and post-Brexit).

*There will be a requirement in this role to travel to the York office / other locations once or twice a month. The compliance team are based in York, and this role will be a standalone position based in the south of England. It is possible for this position to be based remotely, with the requirement to visit the London office a couple of times each week/ when required*
