German Speaking Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) position is an individual contributor role on the Sales Team, working exclusively on the DACH market. The SAM is a senior, leadership selling role focusing on a defined list of the most important and lucrative clients and prospects. In this position, the SAM is responsible for the entire life-cycle of their customers, from prospecting to continued development and support of existing accounts. The sales activities at this level are expected to be strategic in nature and focused on larger, more lucrative partnerships. Due to the complexity of the partnerships, the SAM will be required to negotiate solid, mutually beneficial contract terms in an ethical and forthright manner.

Since many of the deals at this level carry significant revenue, it is customary for the decision-making process to involve multiple parties. To be successful at this level, the SAM must influence and secure meaningful relationships with each participant and stakeholder. In order to do this effectively, the SAM will need to “map out” each client's decision-making process. To ensure accurate and meaningful understandings of their clients, SAMs will meet with clients to provide better service, solidify relationships and uncover potential opportunities ahead of the competition. The SAM team is supported by a dedicated Customer Success Team to support clients in areas including on-boarding, training, product usage and implementation plans and therefore assist in driving renewals.

The SAM will take a visible role in the marketplace attending conferences, seminars, networking events and trade shows as a representative.

The SAM team will evangelize new market sectors and help to establish our client as the de facto standard for all developer hiring outside of the tech vertical.

What you’ll do:

Evangelize the Internet's radical transformation of the recruitment market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve and exceed monthly sales quota
Gather data and actively listen to prospective and existing clients by using consultative sales methods to fully understand their business and uncover problems/impact areas
Become a subject matter expert by acquiring ongoing marketplace intelligence by researching trends and best practices, reading business publications, seeking out learning and development opportunities and utilizing internal training resources
Conduct tailored, web-based presentations over the phone to showcase our unique business partnership model and wide product offerings that will help prospective clients produce sustainable, measurable results
Achieve or exceed the sales plan by maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and developing new accounts.​
Turn prospective leads into signed contracts, while steadily growing a pipeline of new clients for future sales
Weekly sales meetings with the Director of Strategic Accounts to build strategy and update progress
Network diligently, creating business relationships, through multiple efforts including cold calling, in person sales calls, chamber attendance, networking (lead) groups, agents, and other appropriate methods
Think strategically and collaborate with Product and Marketing to create and deliver complex, customized solutions for Talent’s best and most lucrative clients.
What you’ll need to have:

BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record
5+ years of applicable business to business sales experience
Excellent communication skills in both English and German
Ability to work a demanding, primarily self-directed work schedule
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve (if not exceed) one’s goals
Experience with digital advertising sales or web based services sales
Superior cold calling, networking, and business development and sales skills
Strong analytical & computer skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for what’s ahead
Must be able to work independently, drive results and performance
