About our Client

Our client is an established, dynamic 28-year-old I.T. reseller based in the financial heart of central London. They provide products and services from the world’s leading technology vendors. They supply I.T. Infrastructure and solutions to a wide variety of organizations, mainly midmarket and some lower enterprise level corporate companies.

Their core focus areas are storage, networking, security, IaaS and software licensing.

Our client is looking for highly motivated and tenacious individuals who are hungry to earn and forge a career path. You will be selling on the telephone and face to face to both new and existing customers with a strong emphasis on generating new business, so you must be prepared to be proactive. In return they offer extremely healthy uncapped commissions, so the potential to earn is unlimited.

To succeed at this role you will need to be confident on the phone, self-motivated, enthusiastic and target driven. They require people with at least 24 months’ CURRENT experience in supplying IT Hardware Infrastructure, Services and Software to the private sector.

They will provide ongoing vendor training to ensure that their sales people are up to date with all their core focus technologies.

Key purpose of the job:

  • Sell the full breadth of their portfolio - cover a gross profit margin threshold of £3,000+
  • Retain and grow existing relationships with account base
  • Drive storage, networking, Security, IaaS and software licensing opportunities
  • Generate new business for our client
  • Farm accounts to sell into any whitespace
  • Acquire, qualify & win Business
  • Create new professional services opportunities
  • Consistently develop customer relationships

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Cold calling strategic verticals (finance/legal/media) and introducing their Products
  • Consistently meet/over-achieve GP margin threshold set based upon salary package
  • Achieve gross profit margin target and other business set KPI’s per month
  • Work closely with marketing department on any campaign focus
  • Develop strong/strategic relationships with both distribution and vendor partners
  • Time/diary management - external client visits will be required
  • Strong new business mentality - hunter focused
  • Ongoing personal training - knowledge around industry
  • Book and conduct face to face business meetings with existing and net new clients
  • Generate and follow up on customer quotes
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities

Attributes required:

  • A minimum of 2 years (current) industry knowledge
  • A good understanding of storage, networking, security, IaaS and software licensing
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Ability to work in a sales driven Environment
  • Strong written & verbal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a successful team
