Do you have a desire to understand and change the difficulties experienced by young people in care?

We are looking for social care professionals to join our team whose primary focus is to understand the trauma and backgrounds of our young people and see beyond their behaviours to support them on a path to a healthier outlook.

Our team specialise in working with those with complex traumatic histories and symptoms, and in reducing their risks. The Case Workers are the primary individuals in the young person’s development and engagement on the programme we run.

Within the role you will call upon your skills to set boundaries and build relationships to support a caseload of 3-4 young people to manage the upkeep of their home, alongside their emotional development within the community.

The role will involve excellent communication in both your contact with professionals and your direct 1:1 work with the young people

Candidates must have a willingness to develop themselves personally and demonstrate ongoing self-awareness in their work with our young people.

In order to be eligible for consideration for this role, you must have a social work, education or psychology based degree level qualification, and experience in working with this, or a similar client group.

Whilst supported by a wider team, a large part of the role is lone working. Our client group is made up of 16-18 year olds in and leaving care and all cases have experienced significant trauma. Through extensive research and experience, we have developed a lone-working model to work closely with the young person and to emulate reparative parenting for optimum success and outcomes.

KPMS believes that safeguarding children and young people is everyone’s responsibility and must be reflected in every aspect of our work. KPMS expects all staff to share this commitment.

All candidates will need to have a Social Work qualification.

All successful candidates will be subject to the relevant safer recruitment checks.

Candidates will be sent a full KPMS application form to complete if selected for interview.

Required education:

  • Bachelor's

We also have homes in East London, North London & Kent.
