Key Account Manager – Commercial Van Division
£25000 Basic + Realistic OTE £75,000 + Vehicle + Fuel
Based in East London

Key Account Manager /Fleet Sales opportunity to work within an incredible Sales team for the Commercial Van Division of our client a Leading Motor Trade Dealership in Essex/ East London board. It is essential you have at least two years recent Commercial Van Sales experience within the Fleet or Retail sector to support the achievement of the Corporate Sales business plan by maximising sales of new vehicles to new and existing customers via telephone and email. To be the main contact for certain customers, dealing with all operational matters, from receiving initial enquiries through to vehicle deliveries, in line with department procedures.

Key Account Manager /Commercial Fleet Sales role is instrumental in providing first class customer service and involves:-

- Independently managing the sales business, incorporating all the company’s products and services.
- Achieving optimal utilisation of the market, a high level of customer satisfaction and high yields for the department in accordance with the company management goals.
- Co-ordinating and managing customer accounts
- Using, establishing and fostering contacts with departments/units which support Sales.
- Welcoming, advising, calling on and supporting customers.
- Holding sales discussions to provide customers with information and advice on vehicles and accessories.
- Concluding sales contracts and making any required amendments in line with the Dealerships Sales Process.
- Managing orders in progress and supervising order processing.
- Carrying out follow-up contacts to customer and prospects; processing and managing a customer file.
- To ensure that within your area of operation all regulations and standards with regards to the Financial Services Act are adhered to.

Key Account Manager /Commercial Vehicle Fleet Sales main duties and responsibilities will be:-

- Supporting the company management in planning issues relevant to sales, in particular with regard to volume planning and profitability.
- Defining market goals for new vehicle sales, co-ordinating these with performance targets agreed with Sales Management.
- Developing concepts to increase turnover and profitability in Sales and reaching agreement on these with the company management.
- Observing market price developments of competitors in the new and used vehicles business.
- Carrying out analyses of the competition/benchmarking.
- Controlling cost management for own department.
- Ensuring the range of additional services (leasing, financing, service contracts, etc.) are available.
- Ensuring a model mix conforming to the market is available and an appropriate turnover rate of new vehicles.
- Ensuring an appropriate number of demonstration vehicles are available.
- Monitoring vehicle orders and deliveries.
- Ensuring processes are defined and upheld and optimising processes in Sales unit after prior agreement with company management.
- Explaining customer surveys and other measures in order to assess customer satisfaction. Putting forward suggestions and implementing measures to increase customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring all potential customers are approached/qualified/details recorded.
- Preparing and carrying out follow-up contacts and compiling contact reports.
- Organising and carrying out test-drives and evaluate results.
- Establishing contact personally, in writing and by telephone.
- Positioning information material (brochures, catalogues, etc.) and ensuring availability.
- Involvement in sales events.
- Carrying out market and target group analyses and compiling statistics.
- Fostering contacts to key individuals, associations and groups in the region.
- Carrying out customer and demand/need-oriented sales discussions.
- Explaining financing and leasing opportunities and insurances and concluding/arranging relevant contracts.
- Concluding sales, negotiating terms (trade-ins, type and method of payment, method of vehicle transfer, etc.), if necessary obtaining agreements and drawing up the sales contract.
- Checking confirmation of order and, if necessary, passing it on to the customer.
- Supervising conclusion of financing, leasing contracts, insurances and service contracts.
- Agreeing with customers when the vehicle is to be put at their disposal (date, delivery, registration, etc.).
- Handing over vehicle and introducing customer to the vehicle.
