Are you able to commit to an academic year (possibly longer) undertaking a autism 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant role?

This exciting role is working for one of the leading primary schools in the London borough of Southwark. They have a larger than average number of pupils who have various SEN requirements and they place huge importance on providing these students with the additional support they need to flourish. Your role as Autism 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant is key to this aim, you will provide both social and emotional as well as academic support.

The school you will be joining as an Autism 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant is a good graded primary with a large and highly diverse student population. The staff are hard working, professional and above all supportive of each other and the children in their care.
They have excellent facilities and resources in general but nowhere is this more prevalent than in the provisions they have in place for their SEN students.

As the successful applicant for this Autism 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant you will be working closely with class teachers and various SEN specialists within the school. Support will be extensive but they do require someone who can think for themselves and show good levels of initiative.
