Person Specification - Learning Support Assistant
My client SENCO is looking for a versatile graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and you will have previous experience working with children who have special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have have the tenacity and personality that helps them bond with others quickly. You will be a graduate who can show you are not phased by challenging situations and evidence a natural affinity for helping SEN pupils.
About the Learning Support Assistant role
As a KS2 Learning Support Assistant you will be working primarily on an individual basis with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who have been identified as on the Autism Spectrum and have learning difficulties. Your role will develop as you advance your basic teaching skills through listening to the advice of your Special Educational Needs Coordinator who manages effectively using an hands-on approach.
