This is a Special School for children with severe/profound and complex learning difficulties (PMLD) or an autistic (ASD) spectrum disorder. Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant
This role of SEN Teaching Assistant requires a forward thinking graduate who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and earned a second-class degree or better. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have the capability to use your enthusiasm for your teaching and learning to ignite a thirst for knowledge in your students. This SEN Teaching Assistant vacancy is open to those who have an understanding of how to build relationships and a naturally positive approach.
About the Role of SEN Teaching Assistant
Aside from supporting in class, you will lead your own group activities and support some students on a 1:1 basis. The school also offers pupils a wide range of after school clubs which you will help manage. You will receive outstanding support from your mentor who is a Senior Teacher and will guide you to ensure you succeed in every level possible.
