* Interpreting schedule of works identified through independently commissioned Fire Risk Assessments and liaising with the Council's Investment Planning Manager and Fire Safety Officer on day to day building related issues.

* Ensuring building fabric and minor works projects are procured and completed alongside the Fire Safety Officer.

* Reviewing and commenting on major capital works, drawings and specifications ensuring compliance with the Council's standard design brief, statutory legislation, building regulations and good practice.

* Ensuring day to day that the Fire Safety Officer has completed/maintained the Council's fire compliance database, forward works register and authorised works and that these are completed in line with Council standing order requirements, policies and H&S requirements.

* Working with the appointed Fire Safety Officer for the acceptance and technical review of all work requests, ensuring they are completed to acceptable standards in line with the Council's policies and procedures.
