A fantastic opportunity has emerged for two Surveyors to join one of London's most improved Local Government clients in a temporary post for the next three months.

Based in West London, this is a full time role for 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday). The Surveyor performs a key function to the Housing Resident Services Team. Their role is to provide the Council with that assurance as well as provide technical advice. This includes pre and post-inspections of works including quality and cost checks, asbestos management surveys, CDM regulation and void specification checks.

Other key aspects of the role include:

* General diagnostic surveying duties and inspections on a day to day basis, monitoring internal standards and timescales and monitoring the performance of contractors.
* Preparing accurate and comprehensive specifications and drawings for contracts and specific projects.
* Undertaking audits of work to monitor quality of workmanship including pre and post inspections, maintaining accurate inspection records. Devising specification for works including determining material, plant, tools and equipment.
* Visiting residents at home to assist them to identify repairs, improvements and adaptations they require.
* Undertaking assessments of their needs and advise about financial (such as grants), practical and other forms of help available.
* Undertaking risk assessments of all responsive repairs activities and ensuring that effective risk control and audit measures are in place.

Please note, a standard DBS is required for this role and the candidate must also be a car driver with access to their own vehicle. Applicants will ideally be chartered surveyors or equivalent (with a RICS qualification).
