Dean Healthcare is recruiting for its highly esteemed innovative and dynamic client based in the Gloucester area. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people my client seek a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker.

Perhaps you have personal experience working with children or young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

I am reaching out to people who have a genuine passion to assist young people and children to develop socially, personally and spiritually. Building their confidence and independence.

I am looking for a full-time support worker for a small residential home within Gloucester. You will be required to work up to 36hrs per week and up to 3 sleep in shifts per week.

Senior Children's Residential Support Worker Role:

* Promoting independence at all times
* Managing & organising shift activity & staff members
* Engaging in meaningful activities and organisation of these with young person / child
* Working in line and understanding of Ofsted regulations
* Using company / own vehicle to access activities
* Involvement in activity planning
* Reporting and recording in line with company policy & regulations
* Safeguarding and protection of young people
* Risk assessing in line with young person and scheduled activities / timetable

Person Specification:

* Hold a full UK driving license
* Eligibility to work within the UK
* An understanding or experience of working in a similar client group and the needs and challenges posed by the looked after young people
* It would be desirable applicants hold Level 3 in health & social care / Children's and Young people's Workforce
* You ideally will be skilled enhancing engagement with the young people i.e sport coach, rapping, singing etc


* Excellent rates of pay from £9.50 p/hr plus Sleep in Allowance
