Roles and Responsibilities - Business Development Manager

Job Summary

The sales manager is responsible for developing and executing all key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve the set financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
* Promote and sell the full range of the company products profitably and to ensure that budgeted order targets for the said territory, are exceeded or met.
* Identify and secure frameworks and buying group agreements relevant to our technology
* Identify and work with strategic partners to best leverage our market position
* Identify and effectively communicate our Unique Selling Points
* Attend monthly sales meetings to review targets and sales position overall to achieve year end budget for new business
* Produce at the beginning of each month an accurate order forecast to form part of the board report.
* Liaise with the Operations Manager on the Sales Forecast results
* Building strong and long term customer relationships
* Understanding of the opposition strategy and keeping informed on technology developments within our product areas
* Administration of expenses, holidays and sickness is managed in an efficient and timely manner.

Organisational Relationship

The position reports to the General Manager but requires a close working relationship with the Operations Manager and his team.

Education/Experience

* 5 Years Sales Experience - preferably technical solution/consultative selling
* Experience of selling into Local Authority or Health sectors would be highly advantageous
* Good Basic Education to A Level as a minimum
* Strong on Maths and English
* Good understanding of IT
