The Huntercombe Group -Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, Bristol

Our modern newly built independent hospital runs in partnership with the NHS (North Bristol NHS Trust) and provides an inpatient Level 1 intensive brain injury rehabilitation service (29 NHS England funded beds) for the South West of England.

We are currently developing one of the older buildings on the site to provide a further 23 slower-stream neuro-rehabilitation beds (Level 2). The new service is due for completion in the Summer of 2017 - both services being managed in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust.

Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is situated within the grounds of the former Frenchay Hospital site and is located just 5 miles from the centre of Bristol – 1 mile from the M4 and 3 miles from the M5 motorways.

The Rehabilitation Assistant role involves working as part of our dynamic nursing team, to deliver individualised nursing and rehabilitation care to patients, implementing person-centred care plans and undertaking a broad range of nursing duties. Good communication skills, team working and a flexible approach are essential. Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable for this post. Care Certificate training offered.

Job Summary:

Providing an excellent caring service in conjunction with the qualified nursing team
Being actively involved in patient care
Maintaining and developing high standards of care for our patients while being aware of their individual needs and care programmes
Contributing towards effective communication, by reporting to nurse in charge any information given by patient/relative, incident or observation which may affect patients' physical/mental well-being
