Car Benefit Solutions is a dynamic, values driven company with an outstanding reputation and pride in its commitment to service delivery. This role is based at our impressive Head Office premises in Bury and your working hours will be 9-5 Monday to Friday.

The main activity in the role is to assist the Head of Department in collating data for statutory reporting to HMRC covering all corporate taxes, and to prepare and issue client data for CBL reporting.

Main responsibilities for the role include:
• Preparation of corporation tax schedules for payment on account purposes and annual computations from accounting data
• Preparation of quarterly VAT data ensuring compliance with VAT legislation, including partial exemption
• Management of data and preparation and submission of P11Ds in line with HMRC requirements
• Ensure timely submission, payment and tax compliance across all direct and indirect taxes
• Make recommendations to the HOD for tax efficiencies, savings and implementation of any HMRC approved plans.
• Monitor expense claims and ensure reporting is in line with HMRC regulations
• Assist HR colleagues with regards to employment tax issues
• Collate client data on a monthly basis and prepare client journals for processing
• Become an expert on all aspects of CBL accounting and reporting
• Liaise with clients to ensure consistent accurate and timely information
• Liaise with account managers and attend client visits where required
• Prepare monthly management accounts for external clients in accordance with strict timetable
• Liaise with scheme managers, clients and client auditors when required

Essential criteria for candidates include:
• Educated to Degree 2:1 Minimum
• Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Previous experience in a finance or tax role
• Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Word and Intermediate level MS Excel
• Team player
• Ability to adopt a flexible approach to working in a rapidly growing business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• A high level of organisation and planning skills
• Self-motivated, committed and hard working
