Managing Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ashford, Kent

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £60-70k basic (dependant on experience)

The Company:

A Berkshire based regional contractor that operate across a range of sectors including defence, education, housing. They have a number of additional projects underway so the need has arisen to recruit for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to help push the company forward, maintain growth plans and carry on delivering successful projects to their ever evolving client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an existing Managing Surveyor working in a similar business or for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to make the step up.

The Role:

* As Managing QS you will be responsible for overseeing a team of surveyors responsible for projects ranging from £250k to £5m in value. You will report to the Commercial Manager

About You

* You will have gained circa 5+ years experience as a Senior QS, ideally working for a main/principal contractor.
* Have a solid level of education including a minimum of HND qualification (Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is desirable).
* The ability to work seamlessly with clients, the supply chain and your colleagues.
* Strong IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong organisational skills with proven time and people management skills.
