IT Helpdesk Support - Windows - Support - Hardware - Software - VMware - Coventry

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well known UK organisation. Joining a small team, working as an IT Support Engineer in excellent supportive surroundings.

The role involves 1st to 2nd Line Support of the general support of the internal systems, be it installation, repairs, updates or networking issues, and many other activities in between, being one of the go-to people within the organisation.

A passion for IT is a must! As the team is small, you will gain hands-on experience quickly, in multiple areas of IT Support.

This will be an active role, working between 2 local sites, being a large office and factory space. A driving licence and car will be required.

As a member of the IT Support team you will be:

- Supporting all end users throughout the in-house system - Windows environment and bespoke software

- Working on the configuration, installation and support of organisational networks, email, intranet and web systems

- Maintaining various areas of hardware and software; Desktops, peripherals, servers etc.

- Administering daily back-ups, logs and reports. Including the monitoring of PC performance

- Testing new software and hardware platforms, before rollout, accounting for any possible issues

- Documenting errors, failures and hardware removals accurately and in a timely fashion

- Keeping up to date with the world of IT, possibly using your knowledge to implement new ideas and strategies
