Ellisonpeople recruitment are recruiting for Events Coordinator / Wedding Coordinator to work in the hospitality industry. Your role will be to maximize the revenue of the hotel through competently and professionally selling and co-ordination weddings via telephone and/or face to face. Computer knowledge is essential (Word, Excel and email) also bespoke computer system experience is advantageous.

Hours of Work will be full time and this role will involve working evenings and weekends

Your role would be to -

Professionally dealing with clients on the telephone and face to face.
To handle enquirers in a courteous and helpful manner
Conduct show-rounds’ of the hotel and promote all facilities, which add value to the clients’ needs.
To constantly provide and maintain the highest standard of guest care and service.
To maintain the highest possible positive relationship with the client before, during and after any wedding or event.
To take full ownership of wedding bookings from initial booking through to completion, including meet and greet on the day.
To have a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and be able to answer guest questions in a quick, polite and helpful manner, taking every opportunity to up sell the hotel services.
Able to sell the hotel and facilities effectively – good product knowledge.
To be responsible for establishing contacts with organisations, clients etc whilst in general promoting the hotel and its facilities.
To familiarise yourself with your departmental standards of performance and to be able to demonstrate their application
To be able to priorities workload, taking responsibility for your own clients.
To liaise with contractors, i.e. Equipment, flowers, props.
To have a comprehensive knowledge of the facilities and services on offer, including menus and wine lists
To retain existing clients and finalise all bookings.
Transferring information to the operations’ team – accurately and clearly.
To identify, collect and communicate Meetings and Banqueting function information to the relevant departments to ensure the smooth running of events.
To answer the Reservation’s department telephone calls as and when required.
