Our client based in Burton Upon Trent is on the search for an honest and reliable support officer to join their team. This contract will work on a basis of 37 hours per week and a rate of £8.55 Per Hour.

The successful candidate will be required:

• To give technical and clerical assistance to officers and other staff in the performance of their duties.

• To collate relevant information to support officers in their investigations

• To handle incoming calls, gather information and signpost callers

• To assist with investigations, exercises, surveys or research and in the compilation of


• To assist with the initial vetting and screening of applications for authorisation

• To provide administrative assistance and support to officers and teams including assistance in the production of reports and statistical summaries

• To assist in the collation of information both statistical and narrative for the completion of return and reports identifying non-compliance issues

• To maintain records in accordance with the client's policies and quality procedures

• To assist with routine office, logistical and administration duties

• To undertake and participate in the in-service training

• Undertake any other duties which are commensurate with the grade of the post

Please also note that the post may involve working away from the office.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 4 GCSE passes or equivalent Inc. grade C or above in English and


• Knowledge and Experience of:

1. Information gathering

2. Record keeping in line with office procedures, systems and equipment

3. Experience of MS Office and working knowledge of MS Excel

4. Experience in using computer based information system

5. Good written and verbal communication skills

• Skills including:

1. Honesty, integrity and reliability

2. Working with internal/external customers to provide a quality service

3. Working within a team, preferably in an office environment

4. Able to carry out physical duties

5. Time management skills with an ability to work under pressure and on

6. own initiative

7. Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills

8. This post is designated as a casual car user
