My client is a family-owned business established in 1984 specialising in ceilings and partitions. My client also offers a range of services including joinery and installing air conditioning and glazing.

My client is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire and will provide full business specific training, long term development and unrivalled opportunities.

Some of the duties may include:

* To ensure that the financial and contractual needs of a contract are fully met in line with the required standards and time constraints.
* To accurately report to senior management, the financial and contractual situation of the project.
* To ensure that the Company's procedures are adhered to.
* To support, advise and encourage staff on all commercial matters.
* To achieve target profit.
* To ensure all sub-contractors are procured to the programme, that the agreements are robust in all aspects and achieve best value for the Company.
* To prepare and submit detailed, accurate and timely interim applications for payment.
* To ensure that timely and proper actions (notices), etc., are taken/issued in accordance with the requirements of the contract/sub-contract.
* To be able to identify, prepare, submit and agree contractual claims.
* To ensure all payments are received by the due date.
* To value work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments.
* To prepare, submit and agree all Final Accounts in a timely manner that achieves best value for the Company.
* To work with the Project Manager and other site staff.
* Ensure in conjunction with Project Manager, that the risk mitigation strategy is effectively managed.
* To promote the best interests of the Company with all external/internal sources to build sustained and high quality relationships.
* To promote good working relationships by acting in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
* To demonstrate awareness of and assist as part of the site team to ensure that we comply with Health, Safety and Environmental statutory regulations and Company procedures.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and have the following skills:

* An ability to deliver the highest standards of service to our clients.
* A track record in academic achievement.
* An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
* Minimum Academic Requirements - Degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying/Construction & Built Environment.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* Good IT skills with competency at Microsoft Word and Excel
* A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
* To have good spoken and written communication skills
* To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
* To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
* To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
* To be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.
* To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

* Holder of a full clean UK driving licence.
* To have good general business and commercial awareness.
* To be a good problem solver.

In return my client offers

* A starting salary of circa £21,000-£25,000
* 5hrs
