Helpdesk Analyst – Permanent – Coventry 

ESSENTIAL - Candidates must have experience of working within a shop floor environment i.e. manufacturing, also a Degree within IT 

Helpdesk Analyst Essential Skills:-  Good understanding of Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2010 & 2016 applications. Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes. Knowledge of Windows 2008R2/2012R2 servers.  Knowledge of Excel and VBA.  Any .Net or Power Shell would be a bonus 

Helpdesk Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:- 

- Provide first level helpdesk support, log all calls using internal Helpdesk application; troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
- Helpdesk Analyst will provide and support all office & shop floor IT activities, including setting up of computers, notebooks, printers, scanners, workplace, docking stations, information points and patching cables. 
- Logging both internal and external customers hardware, software and all IT issues
- Installation and configuration of hardware and software to client`s standard using internal deployment software; including computers and notebooks and all associated network devices; restore data from backup server.
- Collect IT hardware from goods-inward; unpack and store them in IT room.
- Administration of desktop computers, notebooks, printers/photocopiers and telephony
- (Desk phone/softphone), issuing of hardware to users
- Administering and maintaining user accounts using windows Active Directory.
- Support mobile working users across a number of platforms, including iOS, MobileIron and SecOVID for remote access
- Supporting Microsoft Windows operating 7 & 10 systems and MS Office applications
- Provide training to users on client`s office tools
- IT Asset management (inventory update and disposing of obsolete hardware)
- Basic Windows servers and Network administration (only allowed to administrate local Cisco switches and Servers, limited access allowed)
- Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including code of conduct, FIRST, health and safety, environment, quality, discipline, grievance and equal opportunities
