Charge Nurse - Adult Learning Disability - Nottingham

A modern, specialist hospital in Nottingham is seeking an experienced, professional and highly-skilled RMN/RNLD to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers an extremely competitive salary of up to £37,000, alongside outstanding benefits.

The hospital provides assessment, rehabilitation and around the clock nursing care to up to 16 individuals with complex learning disabilities and enduring mental health conditions, also providing care for those presenting challenging behaviours. Healthcare staff are also able to treat individuals who have been detained under the Mental Health Act, and the service is split into several units, each catering for differing levels of treatment and severity of symptoms/conditions. The CQC have consistently rated the service as Good, and this is reflective of the holistic, personalised care.

As Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing first-class, compassionate care to service users, developing meaningful relationships with them and their families. You will work closely with the MDT, external and internal stakeholders and create key relationships to ensure all needs are met, and contribute to the strong leadership of the nursing service. Furthermore, you will be observing the progress that service users make, and will make informed recommendations. Supervisory responsibilities will include regular meetings with HCSWs, nurses and other healthcare staff at the service, ensuring they are performing to their potential.

The Requirements

* You must hold a relevant nursing qualification i.e. RMN/RNLD/RNMH and a valid NMC pin
* At least 3 years' experience in a Learning Disability/Mental Health service
* You should have substantial experience of supervising healthcare staff
* A good working knowledge of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, the MCA and other relevant healthcare legislation is necessary
* You should be able to provide evidence of CPD
