Overall Purpose of Role:
GB Group is a family run group of companies in Donington, near Spalding, Lincolnshire. The Group Finance Manager is responsible for day to day accounting and financial management. They are also responsible for reporting on the financial performance of the individual companies within GB Group (George Barnsdale Ltd and GBSG Ltd) to the Directors and Partners, providing detailed analysis.

Main Duties of Role:

i. Monthly accounts and performance metrics with detailed analysis as required
ii. Annual accounts preparation and support with external accountants
iii. Cashflow forecast and management
iv. Utilities procurement and management
v. Fleet procurement and management
vi. Insurance procurement and management
vii. Identification of business opportunities
viii. Statutory reporting
ix. Controller of financial management system (Pegasus Opera III)
x. Payroll and Pension Scheme Management
xi. Company secretariat to 7 companies within Group

Essential Requirements:

• Proven track record in a similar role with a high volume operational background
• ACCA or CIMA qualified (part qualified could be considered)
• Knowledge of HMRC deadlines and submissions
• Strong influential skills at all levels
• Experienced management skills with the ability to lead and guide a department
• Analytical approach
• Knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of a Company Secretary role
