I have a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic Shift Manager within a process driven manufacturing environment. The role is based at their busy and vibrant facility in Sheffield.
The company is well known for its products which are used within the precision engineering sector. The raw material (metal) goes through many processes during production (including melting, grinding and finishing).
Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Metals industry experience would be an advantage, but not essential
* Continuous Improvement and some project experience
* Management of personnel including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
* Managing a process, systems and SOP's
* Managing change
* Senior Management Team meetings, handovers, health & safety briefs
* Managing teams of 30-40 people per shift

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* In depth knowledge of people management, motivating and leading by example
* Sound understanding of processes and working with standard operating procedures
* Experience of working within a production environment- open to sector
* PC literate especially excel
* Change management
* Experience of communicating at all levels from the shop floor to director level
* Knowledge of HR process and procedures
* CI and Lean experience including gemba walks
