An ‘outstanding’ Primary School in Basildon, Essex are searching for an enthusiastic Psychology or Speech and Language graduate to support pupils from September 2017. This is a well-resourced primary in Basildon who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with Speech and Language experience. This is a long term Teaching Assistant would suit a candidate wanting to become a Speech and Language Therapist. It would also be ideal if you are looking for good experience of working in a Primary School before beginning your Primary PGCE.

As a Teaching Assistant you will also be expected to provide vital support in speech and language sessions, which help the pupils to increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence. This Teaching Assistant post is suited to a candidate that can be enthusiastic, conscientious and always focused on the welfare of the children, who are the school's primary concern. The school’s Inclusion Team work to ensure that the needs of these children are taken into account and carry out research to find the best ways to support these children. In this role you will document and record their progress throughout the year to help serve this purpose.
