Job Purpose:

To drive, and deliver products and collect waste materials to and from Branches, delighting these internal customers with outstanding service and co operation

Reports to: Team Leader

Location: Home Delivery Depot, High Wycombe

Principal Reports: Drivers Mate

Key Liaisons: Clients customers, Delivery depot teams, Line Manager

Working Pattern: 5 day week - 7.00am - 4.00pm(Flexibility is required,including Saturdays)

Main Accountabilities:
•Routine daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are recorded, notifying Team Leader.
•The van is driven to designated despatch point as per daily transport schedule assisting with unloading
•Entering customer premises, delivery of goods and assembling of goods as needed and removal of any packaging and large items such as beds if booked.
•All necessary documentation is completed correctly, daily run / worksheet, POD’s.
•Every accident is reported however minor and all damage sustained to vehicle or property to manager
•Accident / incident forms are completed as required under health and safety or by insurance co
•Wear protective clothing where relevant and observe any safety instructions at all client sites
•To undertake other driving duties / warehouse work as directed by management as required
•Vehicles are cleaned, inside and out, at least once a week - "its your vehicle" look after it
•Use safe working practises & report immediately any potential hazards or dangers
•Comply with Company Procedures , rules and best practice, be a "careful considerate driver"
•Help maintain all equipment in accordance with service schedules & safety requirements
•Not break any driving regulations or commit any traffic violations

Principal Skills & Attributes Required:
•Current valid UK driving licence no more than 6 points on licence
•Excellent Geographic knowledge of region
•Health and Safety compliant
•Ability to communicate effectively with all colleagues.
•Accuracy and ability to handle a variety of paperwork.
•Co operative will take and act on instruction
