IT Fleet is the UK's leading Automotive service provider, covering Transport, Vehicle Refurbishment and Fleet Management. Through growth and continued success our Transport department is looking for an additional committed employee to join the team as a Transport Allocator.

On a day to day basis you will be working at our Head Office in Raydon (10 miles from Colchester and 10 miles from Ipswich) and will report to the Transport Manager.

Main responsibilities:

• * Provide administrative and telephone support to a fleet of Trade Plate Drivers.
• * Allocate new and existing driver jobs through our state of the art internal system FleetPlus.
• * Provide clear and concise detailed information to enable you and the Transport team to be able to work as quickly and efficiently as possible in this very fast paced environment.
• * Be a part of coordinating the transport resources to ensure that our drivers transport our vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• * You will liaise with both customers and drivers via phone and email developing the daily transport schedule.
• * Ensure that drivers are sent to the correct place at the right time to meet client expectations and demands.
• * Produce reports to provide the team with sales analysis
• * Be able to manage the challenges presented by volume peaks and troughs and direct transport resources accordingly.
• * Assist with the management of the transport system and ensure all data is accurately recorded.

Skills Required: -

• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to work to SLA’s and KPI’s, communicating discrepancies where necessary.
• Good basic geographical knowledge of the British Isles.
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Basic Knowledge of vehicle types and capacity restrictions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• High attention to detail.
• Bright personality and ability to fit in to our culture.

The workload for a Transport Allocator is diverse and demanding, requiring exceptional communication and organisational skills. It is essential that you have passion and drive for achieving outcomes and can find solutions in a timely manner.

Due to the limited availability of public transport and the remoteness of our location, a car driver with access to a car we believe is essential.

Hours are 8am –- 6pm, Monday to Friday. Due to the fast paced nature and fluctuating customer demands upon the Transport department, the successful candidate will need to be flexible in their ability to work additional hours as required.
