Our client, a busy independent LGV maintenance provider, is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to undertake the following duties:
- Taking calls from customers regarding their mechanical needs
- Booking in jobs and seeing through from initial call to completion
- Delegating work in a proactive, efficient and approachable manner
- Managing planned maintenance and due dates
- Booking external work such as MOT, tacho work, LEZ, etc.
- Overseeing any admin tasks related to the garage
- Overseeing and managing parts and purchasing for the garage, inc. price comparisons
- Pricing work and checking job cards to prepare for invoicing
- Maintaining excellent customer relations and understanding the customers’ needs

Vital assets:
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent organisation
- Mechanical understanding and experience of large goods vehicles
- Experience of planning and carrying out routine maintenance of large goods vehicles
- Ability to manage work load on a daily basis; assigning work to mechanics as necessary.

In an ideal world:
- Full UK driving licence (Cat C and/or C+E would be a benefit but not necessity)
- Experience of managing a busy garage environment
- Good computer skills

Shift patterns:
Mon to Fri, Sat am available – hours and times negotiable to suit needs of both parties.
