Contract CNC Programmer - Wolverhampton
We are looking for a CADCAM NC Programmer, initially for an initial 12 month contract for a leader in engineering services and solutions who partner with world leaders in the Aerospace & Defence industries based at facilities in Wolverhampton.

The CNC Programmer will read and understand the Engineering and Stage drawings as well as all GD&T symbols to apply for CNC programming. Then create the Offline CNC programs using EdgeCam R2 2016/NX 9 /NX9 or above for engine and structural components.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
* Knowledge of SAP/Solumina functions
* Component prove out on Machining, Turning and Turn mill and 5 Axis centres Eg (Matsura, OKK, Makino etc.)
* Readout CNC codes including probing cycles for program creation
* Simulation using Vericut software and beginner level knowledge on Machine and Control building in Vericut
* Generate 3D models using NX or other software
* Strong fundamental knowledge in Manufacturing Engineering
* Knowledge on Cutting tools and fluids
* Should be proficient to use and implement tollgate systems and able to perform self-defect management - with problem solving ability.
* Good Programming and machining techniques
* Awareness of aerospace quality requirements
* At least two-year experience in Offline programming (EdgeCam UG NX, CATIA, ESPIRIT)
* Should have background on Quality Management Systems
* Have the flexibility to work in shifts - Desirable.
* MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
* 3D and CNC Software: EdgeCam, UG NX 9, CATIA V5 R20 and above
* Product Lifecycle Management: Teamcenter /Solumina / SAP
* Experience in VBA coding (desirable)


* £25.00 per hour negotiable dependent upon experience.
