A well known and prestigious care group for vulnerable children and young people are looking for a Registered Manager to oversee a service in Bedford. Offering a generous salary of up to £40,000

The service in question is a specialist residential unit who offer care and support to vulnerable children and young people aged 11 - 18 years old. These young people have a history of suffering from sexual trauma.

The main purpose of the role will be to ensure all of the homes policies and procedures are in place, adhered to and that all resources are managed effectively throughout the service. As the Registered Manager you'll liaise with many professionals such as people within the Local Authorities, Schools and other Health professionals striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in care.

As the Registered Manager, you must have:

* At least 2 years' experience managing a residential home for children and young people
* Minimum NVQ Level 5 *or equivalent* (relevant to children's residential care)
* Minimum 2 years' managerial experience
* Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspections
* Strong staff supervision and managerial skills
* Flexibility to work the on call rota
* Excellent and sound knowledge of residential guidelines including Quality Standards, Care Standards Act, Children's home regulations, Children's Act
