Mental Health Officer - Stirling
Stirling are looking for a Qualified Mental Health Officer to join their Mental Health Officer Service for Adults. The Officer must be Mental Health Accredited Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and have experience with working in this role.
The contract is an initial 10 weeks with the possibility of extension and offers great rates of pay.
Responsibilities:
To work as a member of the Social Work Mental Health Officer Service and in partnership with the Integrated Community Mental Health Service.
To assess the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals with mental health difficulties.
To provide a Social Work Service to adults with mental health difficulties and service user/patient groups in accordance with the priorities of the service, applying appropriate skills and experience.
To contribute to the provision of the Mental Health Officer Duty Rota and Service for the Falkirk area and provide a flexible response with regard to the completion of other statutory MH work across the Falkirk Council area.
To undertake MHO assessments of referrals which take full account of the person's views, past and present, to the extent possible.
Maintain records of MHO assessments in accordance with current legislation and Falkirk Council procedures.
Carry out the duties of assessment, care planning and service provision which respect the rights of people, especially those who are, have been, or may be subject to compulsion under the 2003 Act, the AWI Act and the CP(S) Act in an anti-discriminatory way.

To work closely with other agencies and other departments to ensure a co-ordinated approach in implementing the legislation and securing required services.
Providing social work expertise regarding mental disorder and the associated legislation to social work staff in Community Care, Criminal Justice and Children and Families services.
