A global Automotive Tier 1 supplier have a requirement for an Account Manager to manage a key account customer. Responsible for business growth as well as value creation for existing customers. Must have proven experience and technical background, preferably within the automotive sector.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Rugby, Redditch, Banbury

Salary: up to £ 70,000 p.a. Plus Car Allowance

The Role

You will be an easy to reach point of contact for a world-renowned Automotive Tier 1 supplier of vehicle components. Responsible for contributing commercial aspects in identifying, quoting, and winning new business, while increasing the size of the opportunity space with customer portfolio. You will contribute to the critical sales elements - including but not limited to customer strategy, price management, stakeholder relationship management internally and externally, and sales cycle.
As account lead for a complex and diverse range of engineering components, you will absorb large amounts of data, capturing them on Microsoft excel for ease of access and resourceful tracking. You will also take on brand new assignments by receiving Request for Quotations (RFQs) and help to verify purchase orders.
Acting upon Engineering Change Requests (ECR) from the customer and performing the correct data analysis in order to restructure quotations you will demonstrate an excellent ability to cope with a dynamic environment.
All data will be effectively collated and maintained in a concise database system on Microsoft excel.

The Candidate

You will be degree qualified in Sales, Engineering or related fields. Having at least 3-5 years' experience and knowledge of sales in manufacturing or technology industries, and 2-3 years' experience in customer interface/customer relationship management.
You will have solid Automotive or FMCG account management experience accumulated from a supplier perspective.
You will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills including VLookUps and Macros and be extremely IT literate.
The ideal candidate will be a high performer, who is engaged, ambitious to grow within Sales and has excellent decision making, negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
Processing strong presentation skills, you will be highly data driven, able to analyse data effectively and able to raise your point of view in varied platforms and to all levels.
