KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Owns and assists with the development process and improvement activities
 Taking new parts from customer drawings through to a capable manufacturing process for castings, forgings,
machined or polished parts, and deliver the products and processes required to satisfy or exceed our customer
requirements for medical instruments and implants
 Introduction of new technologies or further development of existing processes, relative to cost savings and
productivity improvements.
 Support Project Engineer on assigned projects
 Review customer drawings and specifications, produce production routes, estimate costs and provide
customer quotations.
 Promote and support cost savings and continuous improvement activities
 Participate in process FMEA sessions with the relevant teams
 Ensure process flow, S.O.P’s and techniques, and risk analysis documentation is in place and up-to-date for
all relevant projects
 Raise any issues or roadblocks to their immediate manager in a timely and professional manner
 Work with Project Engineers to finalise the methods of manufacture, design fixtures, and tooling to ensure
new product meets drawing requirements.
 Provide guidance and support to ensure company compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and
systems.
 Provide technical support for manufacturing, quality and sales.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Ensure the Company's quality policy is understood and implemented
 Ensure all Health & Safety rules are adhered to and maintain a safe environment
 Maintain a clean working environment
 Identify areas of value improvement within the engineering and machining areas
 Monitor and review subordinates for performance, training and future development, if applicable
 Recommend new work methods, layouts, processes and equipment to improve performance
 Maintain good time keeping and attendance
 Teamwork - Show a positive attitude to work and others
 Have an awareness of fire exits and hazards in your work area
 Display flexible attitude to work time as required
 Recognise and react to customer expectations
