The role of the Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers will involve:

• Field sales position, selling our clients own manufactured range (70% of the time) of veneers (PVC membranes, woodgrain or plain in colour) and (30%) product manufactured at sister companies in Germany and Italy
• Selling 500m rolls to companies who manufacture membrane pressed doors for kitchen and bedroom furniture (for the use in the lamination of kitchen, bedroom and living room door furniture) as well as fully integrated furniture manufacturers
• Assisting our client to break into new markets such as shop fitting, student accommodation, supermarkets etc
• Responsible for the Midlands with some activity in South Wales and Bristol and a small amount of time in London
• Responsible for circa £5m-£6m revenue, currently running in line with company’s 5-6% above budget performance
• Responsible for 15-20 large customers plus another 20-30 small customers
• 50% of your time account managing large furniture manufacturers such as Hammonds, Summerbridge, BA components etc, remaining 50% of your time will be spent generating new business relationships, and looking after smaller independent furniture manufacturers
• Working as part of a small UK team of three sales professionals

The ideal applicant will be an Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers with:

• Minimum of 2-3 years, field sales experience
• Experienced gained in a similar or related industry would be an advantage
• Ideally experience selling into furniture manufacturers, but open to all backgrounds from within manufacturing
• Ideally you will have sold interior design / aesthetically pleasing products such as shop fittings, kitchen, bedroom or living room furniture, timber windows, ceramic tiles etc
• Any experience or interest in design may be beneficial
• Contacts within bedroom or kitchen (KBB) manufacturers is not essential
• Capable of generating new business
• Ideally degree educated and able to develop a good “feel” for wood grain designs and colours appropriate to the furniture market
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and IT literate
• Experience of working with shop-fitting, retail, healthcare/education sectors would be advantageous as these markets are of particular interest
