There is a challenging role for a Junior Java Developer with one commercial role to join the global leader in telecommunications securities. They have developed a patented systems to allow secure credit card payments to be processed over the phone, removing completely the risk of fraud. They are a truly incredible company and growing fast, always looking to adopt the latest tech and are about to move into a completely brand new and bigger office, this is a great time to join them.

As a Junior Java Developer you will be joining one of their 4 internal development teams. The team is responsible for their core product and at the forefront of developing new products, this team literally drives the business forward. Daily you will be taking on a number of responsibilities; Firstly you will be working on optimizing their existing application which will give you a base of understanding that will enable you to move onto more complex tasks such as working on migrating their to microservices. You will also be unit testing all of your work, insuring there is good coverage of your development. Moving forward there is a large volume of Greenfield work as they look to add new functionality, this will give you the opportunity to be able to work with tech such as Spring Boot and AWS as they move into a cloud environment, this will be a great opportunity for you to learn all of these skills on the job.

As this is an incredibly critical role to the team there are a few key skills that we need you to have. Firstly you will have experience of at least one commercial role using Java 7, you will have good understanding of OO concepts and design patterns and will have been running unit tests. In addition any experience any Spring framework and web services will be great but not essential.

We offer a great opportunity for the right Junior Java Developer. Firstly there is a salary of up to £35,000 based on your experience, health insurance, bonus and flexible working hours. This is also a great opportunity for career progression, as we are expanding there will be positions to learn new skills on the job and move into a senior role within 2-3 years and possibly team leadership past this.
