Residential Support Workers
Sussex Recruitment are currently seeking Support Workers for our client, a specialist school for young people with learning difficulties.
The role of Support Worker is vital to ensuring that the school meets the educational, social, emotional and learning needs of each learner and to help them establish stable relationships with those around them. Duties will include assisting learners with self-care independence skills and the administration of medication.
You will ideally have an NVQ in Health and Social Care with relevant experience in a medical, mental health or educational setting. You will have knowledge of how to manage challenging behaviour with a non-judgemental approach to positive behaviour support. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential and the ability to maintain accurate written paperwork.
