International Commercial Analyst

Gleeson Recruitment group are currently working alongside a market leading Logistics Business based in Birmingham. Our client is currently recruiting for an International Commercial Analyst.

This is a permanent opportunity paying circa £23,000 per annum.

MainPurposeofInternational Commercial AnalystPosition:

To provide support to the Group in areas of International Operations and Commercial Insight. Instigate accurate and timely completion of weekly and monthly management reporting for International portfolio of services. Provide pro-active support to International Commercial Manager and stake holders with commercial and operational aspects of International business.

PrioritisingandPlanning

  • Provide on time analytical, commercial and decision support to the International Commercial Manager and other stake holders
  • Support the Commercial Manager in ensuring all department deadlines are met and weekly and monthly management reports are completed within agreed timelines
  • Be able to resolve any price and weight queries on a timely basis

CustomerFocusandImprovingResults

  • Reporting key customers contribution figures with additional commercial insight
  • Be able to monitor the weekly customer trends and give input to the forecast process
  • Propose solutions to ensure time spent on transactional processes is reduced to a minimum
  • Be Pro-active in resolving customer/supplier queries on a timely basis

PersonalDevelopment, ImpactandInfluence

  • Proactively network in other departments to understand their functions and relative impact to the commercial department.

KeyMeasuresofPerformance

  • Accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting of the Key Commercial reports
  • Contribute to the reconciliation and review of customer or destination margins with key commercial insight.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting of financial information to support operational decisions
  • Continuous improvement in job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
