Our client are part of a highly successful, well established franchise offering a patented and unique product to domestic and commercial clients.

Due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join the team. You must have strong Sage and Excel experience to be considered for this role.

Duties to include:-

  • Working with spreadsheets
  • Sales and purchase ledgers and journals
  • Posting purchase invoices to Sage
  • Checking purchase invoices for accuracy#Checking and posting expenses to Sage
  • Checking supplier statements and chasing any missing documents
  • Allocating payments to Sage Line 50
  • Downloading invoices/activity documents from supplier systems
  • Preparing statutory accounts up to management level
  • Calculating and checking to ensure payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Managing petty cash transactions
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt
  • Reconciling finance accounts , direct debits and monthly credit card statements
  • Working on SAGE payroll
  • Downloading invoices/activity documents from supplier systems
  • General financial/accounting duties as required

The Candidate:

  • Strong SAGE and Excel skills are essential
  • Experience of working within an accounts team
  • Good all round knowledge of the whole accounts function
  • Credit control, purchase & sales ledger and payroll experience
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • A flexible and helpful approach to work

  • Working hours
    8.30am - 5pm or 9am - 5.30pm
