Our client an exciting organisation working within the Motor Claims sphere are currently seeking a driven Recoveries Supervisor to join their existing team.

Core responsibilities

The role is to work as a Supervisor within the motor recoveries team and provide support to the current Team Manager. The candidate will:

• Audit files, reviewing and approving case strategy appropriately to achieve the best outcomes
• Respond to any technical queries within the team providing formal supervision and mentoring of more junior members
• Have responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload and the team
• Act as a point of contact for clients and demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience
• Allocate work effectively among the team to ensure work is carried out profitably
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications
• Support marketing and business development within the team
• Train new starters and performance management to ensure fee earners reach their financial targets
• Assist with Management Information Reports and weekly Client Reports
• Ensure files are run effectively to conclusion by relevant fee earners with appropriate deadlines met
• Ensure that fee earners carry out work effectively to meet the needs of the clients

Key skills

The candidate will

• Have at least 2 years' experience of working on litigated motor claims
• Experience of working in a target driven commercial environment would be an advantage
• Previous experience of supervision and performance management would be an advantage
• Good people management skills including the ability to motivate, coach and mentor team members at all levels
• Demonstrate excellent performance in process driven work
• Be change orientated and demonstrate a flexible approach to the implementation of new initiatives
• Be team orientated with a willingness to share knowledge and support other members of the team.
• Have an ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an "academic" approach to claims settlement
• Demonstrated excellent commercial performance with achievement on chargeable hours and financial targets
• Show good levels of leadership and professionalism
• Comply with current SLAs with excellent client management and communication skills
