As a Retail Supervisor candidates can expect a challenging and fun position with both full training and on-going support. Responsible for dealing with a variety of day to day retail issues, from dealing with customers, store merchandising and replenishment to supporting the rest of the team the role is both fast paced and varied. The Retail Supervisor is a key holding position so applicants will be individuals that are looking for a responsible position; cash handling and banking are also key parts of the role. Interested candidates will have a flexible approach and be able to work across the trading pattern of the store, being available for additional paid hours when required. Stores for this company are large, high turnover environments and this role will suit hard working individuals looking for their first break into a retail management position. Please note that although the role is advertised as a 25 and 35 hour contract, there will be plenty of opportunity to work additional hours and overtime will be paid.
Suitable candidates will ideally have some retail and/or supervisory experience. This can be from Department or Chain Stores, high turnover fashion, clothing, footwear or accessories outlets based in either the high street or out of town or from other service led retail businesses where commerciality and customer service are key. Crucially candidates will possess a high level of enthusiasm, be keen to learn more and be passionate about retail in general and customer service in particular. The role will particularly appeal to ambitious individuals looking for a route to management and a company whose expansion and belief in the development of its people ensures future career opportunity.
