Would you like to lead a high-performing team, managing and driving soldering standards within a global leading company?

As lead technician you will steer standards to IPC-610 certified levels and generate a step change in quality standards across the facility. The successful individual for this IPC Soldering Specialist will be engaging, driven and methodical in their approach.

This IPC Soldering Specialist job is a hands-on role, proactively supporting the plant team, constantly upskilling and assessing capability. Owning Plant Soldering capability, constantly training and auditing capability of the teams.

Key Responsibilities for IPC Soldering Specialist Job:

* Soldering Accreditation Specialist - Responsible for maintaining workmanship standards and operation conformance to IPC- 610 certified.
* Quality Champion - Ownership of the internal quality alert process and responsible for the allocation of corrective actions and ensuring their timely execution.
* Training Champion - Accountable for the training and skill level of the in-house soldering team.
* Deployment and maintenance of all training schedules for soldering and inspection manufacturing operations to J-STD and IPC certified standards.

Key Skills/Requirements for the IPC Soldering Specialist Job:

* Accredited to IPC-610 with working knowledge of ISO 9001,8D problem solving tools and working knowledge of the manufacturing processes used within the manufacturing centre, to highlight basic quality faults and offer any recommendations as appropriate.
* Familiar with the use and basic maintenance of the soldering equipment within the manufacturing centre and be conversant with the test processes carried out.
