ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working closely with the operations manager and technical manager to ensure that the maintenance function is run smoothly and efficiently. Therefore you will be responsible for the overall success of the department with full accountability for performance against KPI’s as well as working to agreed budgets.
You will be the lead contact for all technical queries and will be the focal point for the maintenance function. You will ensure that the lifecycle maintenance programme is planned and being adhered to. You will ensure the preventative maintenance programme is being conducted thoroughly.
You will manage a team of over 10-15 maintenance professionals including HVAC, fabric and electrical as well as a maintenance supervisor. You will also be responsible for managing the maintenance budget for the site.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate;
- A background in the management of maintenance engineering staff – Preferably in a client facing role on a site with a large footfall i.e retail/hotel/hospitality.
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience of managing reactive & preventative maintenance programmes.
- The ability to carry out lifecycle maintenance planning.
- Budgetary management experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes.
Technical qualifications required for this role:
- Recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- IOSH or NEBOSH
Candidates with a knowledge of BMS systems are highly desirable.
This role is a site based position in Grays, Romford, Basildon, Brentford, Dagenham and Dartford.
You may have experience as one of the following: Technical Services Manager, Maintenance Manager, Technical Manager, Technical Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer, Lifecycle Maintenance Manager.
