Service Manager - Bath
Due to internal progression a highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to join our dynamic, friendly team. You will be managing our services in Bath.
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of Support Workers as well as a team of Relief Staff that provide support to the people within our services.
Delivering high quality services is very important to us and we are rated as Good at over 94% of our locations nationally. We are also a PBS award-winning provider.
Mencap provide high quality support to people with a learning disability. Leading a dedicated team of support workers, you`ll ensure that our services reach the highest possible standards in terms of quality and cost effectiveness - in this way, you`ll help us to meet individual service users` needs and encourage real involvement and influence in what we do.
Reporting to the area operations manager, you`ll be accountable for the people management and development across the service team. This is a key role in guaranteeing the quality of our service delivery and ensuring that we are always improving. You`ll need management experience in a social care setting - if you haven`t specifically worked with people with a learning disability before, you must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of their rights and service needs. Self-motivated and determined, you should have a passion for positive change and the confidence to make difficult decisions under pressure.
A level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
